Game Flow: Introducing the appeal of this game in accordance with the basic flow! [Synduality Echo of Ada]

I have previously written this workTry the TGS2023 trial versionHowever, there we were able to experience basic action and exploring the "northern region" that we visit early in the game.

In addition to these areas, this trial experience also includes customization elements for Magus and bases, as well as exploring the new area, the "South Region"! Although it was a limited trial time of about an hour and a half, I was able to experience the charm of this work even more deeply than last time.

First, I'll briefly introduce the appeal of this game in line with the flow of the game.

1) Order a request and go to field search

First, you will receive your request from your base and then head to explore the field.

The main purpose of the game is to bring back AO crystals. Once you receive an order from the Drifter Promotion Association, you will be sent out to the field.

Before the sortie, we will customize the cradle cuffins and restock consumable items. Cradle Coffin is a robot controlled by the player, and you can freely rearrange each part.

Ammunition and recovery items are consumable items, so don't forget to restock them when you set out!

2) Explore the field and collect supplies

The purpose of this work is to explore the field and bring supplies home while aiming to achieve the request. If you collapse along the way, you will not be able to take your supplies home, and you will also be able to disappear from cradle coffins and magus, so it is important to act carefully.

Magus is your reliable partner for exploring. It's a humanoid with dual thinking AI with a rich support function, familiar from the anime "SYNDUALITY Noir."

In this game, it also guides you to your destination when you explore and lets you know when the enemy is approaching! Since it was still early in the game, I was able to use only a limited number of functions, but I was quite good as a guide.

Enders (so-called monsters) appear on the field. If found, they will attack you, so you will have to decide whether to defeat it or run away.

The main purpose of this work is not to fight, so depending on the situation, it may be better to run away. However, you can acquire materials when you defeat them, so it's best to defeat them in a good condition.

Cradle Coffin isn't particularly agile, so if you're surrounded, you're in a very difficult position!

It can fight fairly well even with melee attacks, but the attack speed is not that fast, so it gives the impression that it is just a means of attack in emergencies. Basically, it seems important to search the enemy thoroughly and kill Enders from a long distance.

In battle, the sniper rifle was powerful, just like the last time they were tested, but it seems to have some adjustments, such as the Tokyo Game Show and the speed at which you aimed at slower. It would be best to carry multiple weapons around to accommodate a variety of situations.

In the beginning, the first priority is to mining and collecting AO crystals. AO crystals are a condition for completing requests and are also cash-on items, so they are also important for enriching your equipment.

The basic flow seems to be to have Magus do an AO search and identify the location of the AO crystals → mining the AO crystals → exploring the surroundings and heading to the return point.

You can also get items along the way. As we will explain later, items such as materials and ammunition used for crafting can also be obtained, and weapons can be used to fight with locally sourced weapons.

The placement of items is random, so it's fun to make different discoveries with every exploration! It has a wide range of so-called hack and slash elements, so it's rewarding to go on repeated explorations.

③ Head to the elevator for return

Once you can easily collect the supplies, head to the elevator to return. The elevator location can be seen on the map.

If you receive damage due to the following factors and your HP reaches 0, you will be forced to retreat, and Cradle Coffin parts, items, and Magus will be lost.

■Major factors that take damage
・Be attacked by Enders and bandits
・Be exposed to rain when it is no longer resistant
・It falls

If you can escape from the emergency, you won't be able to disappear, but you'll also lose the items you obtained while exploring, so don't overdo it! Especially in the beginning, I felt that if I could recover the requested AO crystals, I could return immediately.

Incidentally, you can replay the results of your search when you return or retreat. You can check what route you took and what kind of enemies you fought.

When you have a good exploration, you can look back and enjoy yourself, or when you have to retreat without any trouble, you can look back on what you regret! You can fast forward and pause, and of course you can skip it.

④ Fill in equipment when you return to your base

Once you return to your base, you can craft with the materials you have obtained, or buy weapons and consumable items from the shop.

Especially when you withdraw or have an emergency escape, you are out of equipment so be sure to prepare well! By the way, the initial equipment will be replenished for free, so you can at least get out. Also, although it was not used for this trial game, it is said that you can also borrow money.

Exploring in the Southern Region: As your equipment is more abundant, collecting rare items becomes more fun! [Synduality Echo of Ada]

This trial game allowed us to explore the northern region in the first half and the southern region, which will be shown for the first time in the second half.

The southern region can be explored by meeting certain conditions. This area is said to be an area that is not protected by an organization called the Drifter Promotion Association, and is likely to be at high risk. Unfortunately, I was unable to experience this time, but it may be that there will be more opportunities to fight against other players. In fact, it appears that players from other media encountered each other on the map, causing battles, and some cheers were erupted at some of the interview venues. I'm jealous...

By the way, during the trial game, I played with data that had progressed to some extent to match the strength of the enemies in the southern region. The enhanced cradle increases overall speed, making it more comfortable to operate! Especially when the thruster lasted even a little longer, the comfort was much different.

The basic exploration process remains the same, but as the enemies that appear are becoming stronger, the rarity of available items seems to have increased overall. Powerful weapons can also be obtained from containers and other items, making exploring even more fun.

The longer the play time, the more you get better equipment and the more fun you can get, I was able to feel the smooth game feel, even though it was just a short time.

What really struck me in the southern region was the battle at the pier.

A group of bandits roamed the pier, and we enjoyed a fierce gunfight between the cradle cuffins. When surrounded, your website will be cut off in no time, so don't let your guard down.

Unlike the battle with Enders, it is more likely to be attacked from long distances, so I get the impression that searching was more important.

Due to time constraints, we were only able to explore part of the map during this trial game, but in the southern area there are locations with interesting names such as "Yume no Shima" and "Power Station."

Although the placement of items and the appearance of enemies is random, there are likely to be some trends, so once you get used to it, it seems like it's fun to build your own exploration route.

Customization elements: Change your play style by customizing Magus and crafting at your base! [Synduality Echo of Ada]

During this trial game, I was able to experience customization elements that I couldn't experience last time.

You can customize the Magus at the beginning of the game and after the tutorial is over. The system choice has a major impact on performance.

■System type
・Weather adaptation type
・Cradle maintenance type
・Verified accounts
・Cradle type
・Defensive

There are five different systems available. The areas of expertise vary depending on the type: "weather adaptive" specializing in field exploration, "cradle maintenance type" with high recovery capabilities, "anti-enders type" and "anti-cradle type" with good combat, and "defens type" with high defense capabilities.

It is very important as it also affects the effects of Magus skills that attack enemies in battle, and Magus Order, which can be used to explore the surroundings.

At the time of initial customization, only system selection affects Magus' performance. Other than that, you can also customize it to relate to the appearance.

The appearance can be customized to the very fine details, and you can adjust the body shape, hairstyle, face shape, and various facial parts to the thickness. Also, some elements such as hairstyles can be changed later.

You can also craft using materials obtained through exploration at the base.

Weapons and consumable items can also be purchased at shops, but since purchasing is quite expensive, crafting is likely the basics.

Crafting requires real-time time, as well as materials and costs. It's possible to save time by "fast creation", but it costs money. However, when it came to trial, I spent less money on it, so it would be a good idea to casually shorten it.

It is also possible to enhance the crafting functions of the base itself.

There are only limited things to do in the beginning, but by strengthening your bases, you will be able to do more and more. This may be a condition for completing the request, so it would be a good idea to train your base by collecting AO crystals for now.

  • ▲Walls and ceilings (Lv.0)
  • ▲Walls and ceilings (Lv.1)

As we strengthen our bases, our appearance will change. It's worn out at first, but just strengthening it to level 1 gives it a much better look!

I was only able to improve it slightly during the trial game, but I'm looking forward to seeing how my base changes as I level up.

Personally, I felt that the core of this work lies in the fun of collecting items and strengthening your own aircraft (cradle coffin). In particular, in the beginning, it's worth trying, like "how to use your tight resources to get stronger." If you like that, this is fine. It would also be fun to grow your base and dress up by adding more Magus costumes. Of course, there are some people who mainly enjoy fighting while riding Cradle Coffin, but I think the game designs are acceptable for both.

I feel that only if you play for a long time and improve your skills will be able to enjoy even more fun. That's why I'm looking forward to the closed beta test, which will allow me to play for a large amount of time!
